Here’s a breakdown:

• Learning differences/developmental challenges: These could include learning disabilities like dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other conditions that make learning and processing information more challenging.

So, instead of an illness, “2e” describes a unique constellation of strengths and challenges that some individuals experience. Recognizing 2e can be helpful for:

• Identifying appropriate support: Understanding both the giftedness and challenges allows educators, parents, and other professionals to tailor support and ensure these individuals reach their full potential.
